amazing shy guy?

I have know this gy since the 8th grade were both in 11th right now and he is like my best guy friend. The thing is i really like him. I’ve liked him since the 9th grade. And for about 2 weeks I could tell he really liked me. Like(we are both in band) we were in a practice room and our director came in an told me to be a “good girl”. Then like 3 days ago one of his other friend starts to bitch about me behind my back(shes a girl). But her whole group is startung to hang out with me anyways. and the guy i like has been kinda ignoring me. But then he semi saw me crying and is like completely talking to me again.
Can someone explain whats going on ?

First of all, he doesn’t think you’re ugly, that’s out of the question, so we’re not going to worry about that. The thing is he wants to be your close friends, the chance of him wanting a relationship seem pretty slim right now.

Your best chance is to ask someone in your ‘group’ that you can trust with your life to have a casual conversation with him and sometime in that conversation to mention your name and see what he says, that could make all the difference in what he thinks about you. And just try and get closer to him, not literally but talk to him more and smile at him as much as you can =]

I think you’ll be ok, and you sound pretty to be honest, if he’s not the one then move on! someone great will come along.
